Julie Campbell medals at Lismore

While our usual Wednesday golf did not go ahead due to the Yamba Ladies Westlawn 3-Day Tournament, Friday’s Single Par 4/6 round had 41 players and, considering the tricky, gusty conditions, there were some excellent scores.

The best on the course was Leigh Robertson’s 40pts; however, Sue Skelton’s 37pts, including two NTP’s is certainly worthy of mention. Lynne Eke has also been playing well over the last couple of rounds, coming in r/up in Div 3 on two consecutive Fridays.

Results

Div 1: Leigh Robertson (40pts) followed by Sue Skelton (37pts).

Div 2: Fay Gimenez won with 36pts just ahead of a very happy Ann Schuhmacher (35pts).

Div 3: Sandra Russo (37pts c/b) had a great round to win and Lynne Eke (37pts) was r/up.

Our NTP winners were: Flots and Jets 3rd: Jenny Muir; Valley Finance 3rd (2nd): Kathy Lollback; Peter Campbell Physio 9th (2nd): Sue Skelton; Kitchen to Table 10th: Sue Skelton; Amie Rose Beauty 12th: Darrie Nightingale; Nicholson’s Fine Foods 17th: Darrie Nightingale and Yamba Pharmacy 17th (2nd): Noni Rixon. Balls were awarded to 33 pts c/b.

Lisa Marsh starred in the Saturday morning competition with a great round of 40pts.

Jane Bonner was the NTP winner.

Congratulations to both ladies and to all of last week’s winners.

Adding to the excitement of a big week of golf last week was Julie Campbell’s 2nd r/up (Div 2) performance in the 2021/2022 Women’s Golf NSW District Medal Playoff held in Lismore last Friday. Congratulations Julie.

Next Wednesday’s golf will be the Medal of Medals round followed by the final 4/6 Single Par event on Friday.

Happy golfing.
