Grafton Athletics Club member Lesley White is the Grafton Shoppingworld Senior Sportsperson of the Month for February.

Lesley has excelled on the track to bring home medals from the Pan Pacific Games at Brisbane in November, and Australian National Masters at Sydney in March earlier this year.

At the Pan Pacific Games she won gold in the 800m and 400m, silver in the 1500m, and bronze in the 100m and 200m for women 35-40.

At the National Masters she won gold in the 800m and the 1500m, silver in the 400m, and bronze in the 200m, while she was part of the gold medal winning 4 x 400m relay team, who broke the Australian record by three seconds.

Lesley joins mountain bike rider Michelle Newstead on the nominee list for Senior Sportsperson of the Year as well as the Loving Life 103.1 FM Masters Sports Award, to be announced at the 10th annual Clarence Valley Sports Awards on February 10, 2024.
