Join the Clarence and Richmond Valley treasure hunt

They tend to be modest and shy away from the spotlight but women volunteers in the Clarence and Richmond Valleys deserve recognition which is why Clarence Nationals MP Chris Gulaptis is encouraging locals to nominate them for inclusion on the 2020 Hidden Treasures Roll.

“We have fought the drought, the bushfires and now the coronavirus and throughout female volunteers have been the unsung heroines,” Mr Gulaptis said.

“So, this is the perfect opportunity to recognise their invaluable contributions by nominating them for inclusion in the Hidden Treasures Honour Roll.”

Hidden Treasures is an annual initiative of the NSW Liberals and Nationals Government’s Rural Women’s Network which recognises the outstanding efforts of women volunteers and promotes the valuable role of volunteering to the community.

Nominations can be completed online.  All rural women nominated will be included in the Honour Roll.

For more information or to nominate someone, go to www.dpi.nsw.gov.au and search for Hidden Treasures.
