Council Retraction – concerned residents have contacted council

It was reported in the Clarence Valley Independent (Slow Down in Yamba CBD, 13/09/23) that Clarence Valley Council had not received any complaints over the past two years in relation to speeding in Yamba CBD.

This was the information provided by council’s communications team to the CV Independent.

This was incorrect and not the advice of the CVC Road Safety Officer.

Council has communicated with concerned residents in relation to speeding in the vicinity of Clarence and Wooli streets during this time.
