Clarence and Richmond Valley bushfire victims not forgotten

Bushfire affected farmers in the Clarence and Richmond Valleys are among 1100 across the state to receive Government grants of up to $75,000, according to Clarence Nationals MP Chris Gulaptis.

“On the eve of the day we remember our war heroes, I want to assure local farmers and communities affected by the bushfires that they too are not forgotten.” Mr Gulaptis said.

“The Nationals in Government have invested more than $70 million this year in grants to farmers for bushfire recovery tasks like rebuilding damaged or destroyed infrastructure such as sheds and fencing.”

Mr Gulaptis said he didn’t want to see any eligible farmer miss out.

“That includes primary producers who may have already accessed up to $15,000 under the previous scheme – you can now apply for additional funds, bringing the total available to $75,000,” Mr Gulaptis said.

Applications should be made via the NSW Rural Assistance Authority, either by calling 1800 678 593 or online at www.raa.nsw.gov.au
