Yamba Lady Golfers compete in 7th Monthly Medal

The medal round attracted 49 players on a beautiful Spring morning. Winning A Grade was Robyn Wiblen with 71 net from Margaret Solomon 72. Jenifer Fagan was gross winner with 90c/b and Sandra Wallace won the putting with 27 which secured her the Café Marina voucher for best putting on the day. Liz Dwyer was B Grade winner with 72 followed by Anne Schuhmacher 74. Pauline McKinnon was gross winner 103, while Meg Kulmar won the putting with 30c/b. Balls went to 77c/b and pins were won by Di Sigle – 3 – Yamba Medical Centre, Kay Caller – 3/2 – Yamba Florist, Helen Collins – 9 – Yamba Pro Shop, Sandra Wallace – 10 – Yamba Fair Butchery, Jenifer Fagan – 12 – The Shoe Boutique and Toni Elliott – 17/2 – The Block. Clovelly Fashions’ 17 was unclaimed. Dulcie Nurse was the winner of John’s Free Lesson. The 9 Holers’ Foursomes event proved popular and attracted 26 players. It was won by Trish White and Gwynne Thomas with 31.25. Runners-up were Honey Tatton and Denise Ginn 38. Trish and Gwynne also won the pin on 12. Congratulations to all for participating in this challenging game. Lucky draws of the cards were won by Carolyn Chester – Civic Video, Di Sigle – The Friendly Grocer, Jenny Macqueen – Priceline Pharmacy, Carrie Aitken – The Mexican, Meg Kulmar – Yamba Physio, Deirdre Gough – Yamba Florist, Verna Wright – The Corner Store, and the raffle donated by Judy Palich and Glen Czarnota raised $104 and was won by Nancy Prisk. 44 ladies battled strong winds on Friday and the Single Stableford saw Robyn Wiblen winning A Grade for the 2nd time this week with 42 from Janine Zeitsch 39. Virginia Moore won B Grade on a count-back from Liz Dwyer who both scored 36. Balls went to 35c/b and pin winners were Jenny Macqueen – Tom’s Chinese Seafood Restaurant 3, Judy Palich – Retireinvest 3/2, Carolyn Chester – Peter Campbell Physiotherapy 9, Lee Daley – Kitchen to Table 10, Jeannie Doolan – Yamba’s Fisho 12, Janine Zeitsch – Wato’s Fish & Burgers 17 and Liz Dwyer – Yamba Pharmacy 17/2.
