Yamba ladies Monthly Medallists’

There were 55 women in last Wednesday August 3 Monthly Medal, 5th GNSW Medal, final Gwlad Murray round and, importantly, the 2nd of our 2022 Championship rounds.

The course is in great condition and we’re all enjoying the extra run. Results

Monthly Medals winners: Lee Daley – A Grade; Julie Campbell – B Grade and Joan Berry – C Grade.

Denise Ginn was awarded Div 2 and Best Overall Putting (29).

Div 1 winner was Lee Daley (71) and r/up was Leigh Robertson (73).

Gross winner was Darrie Nightingale (88) and Janine Zietsch won Putting (30 c/b).

B Grade winner and Gross winner was Julie Campbell (70/99); r/up was Lynne Donsworth (73).

Joan Berry was C Grade winner and Gross winner (70/111); Margery Allison was r/up, and Nadene Carroll won Putting (30).

Balls – to 75.
There were nine players in Wednesday’s nine-hole competition. Annie Green was the winner (15pts c/b) beating Colleen Bamback.

Friday morning ended with scuddy showers for the penultimate Championship round. With 51 players, the big news was Janine Zietsch’s outstanding 69 Nett and Lisa Marsh’s 73 Nett scores.

Lisa is a relative newcomer to golf, so we all congratulate her on this win. Janine Zietsch (69) was Div 1 winner and best Putter (30); r/up was Jennifer Fagan, who scored a fabulous 70. Gross winner was Darrie Nightingale (86).

Div 2 winner was Lynne Donsworth (75) and r/up was Gwynne Thomas (76 c/b). Di Sigle had another great round to be Gross winner (102) and Fay Gimenez (29) won Putting.

The Div 3 winner was Lisa Marsh (73) and Nadene Carroll (75 c/b) was r/up. Gross winner was Sue Wilson (107) and Jane Anderson won Putting (30).

NTP’s: Flots and Jets 3rd – Gwynne Thomas; Valley Finance 3rd (2nd) – Jacky Penfold; Peter Campbell Physio 9th (2nd) – Jennifer Fagan; Kitchen to Table 10th – Janelle Carpenter; Amie Rose Beauty 12th – Sandra Russo; Nicholson’s Fine Foods 17th – Fay Gimenez and Yamba Pharmacy 17th (2nd) – Noni Rixon. Balls – to 76.

There were some impressive scores for the 11 ladies who played last Saturday. Suzie Prosser won (40pts) and r/up was Julie Campbell, who scored 38pts. The NTP was won by Tiffany Lee.
To the women playing in this week’s final Championship round, the Murwillumbah Mt Warning Classic and the Ocean Shores Three-Person Team Event, good luck.
