Yamba Golf
Thursday saw only 83 players finish their round due to the inclement weather and recently renovated greens but those who soldered on got the best of conditions as the sun came out for the afternoon.
Winner of A Grade was Ken Hall with 38 points, 2nd was Greg Starr with 37 on a count back from Andre Rizk 37.
A reserve saw Guy Carpenter take home the main prize with the score of the day 42 points, 2nd was Peter Gwynne 40 and 3rd went to Grant Dwyer with 39 points.
B Grade winner was Evan Harris who returned 41 points, 2nd was Dean Jobling with 39 on a count back from David Barnsley 39.
Nearest to the pins were won by Ken Hall on the SeaFire Steak and Seafood 3rd with 135cm, the Peter Campbell Physio 9th was Ron Sams with 241cm, the SeaFire 10th was Russell Cain 430cm, the Yamba Barber Shop 12th was Nick Anderson at 85cm and the SeaFire 17th was Alan Syle at 45cm.
Balls for the day went to 36 with 19 on the back.
Saturday Stableford and Fourball
One hundred and thirty nine golfers enjoyed the eternal sunshine with winds picking up late for the afternoon groups, this proved positive for the early starters with Peter McGrath coming in with the score of the day 44 points, which was 1 over off the stick, congratulations Peter.
Second in A Grade was John Daley with 40 points from Rohan Smiles 38 on a count back.
A Reserve was another early player with Ian Village Goodman returning 41 points from Greg LaForest 39 on a count back from Nick Anderson 39 points.
B Grade winner was Gordon Wilson with 41 points from Stewart McDonald 39 on a count back from Paul Edgar 39 points.
C Grade was a very close affair with all three winners returning 38 points, the count back went the way of Ray Scovell 38 points, Graham Green was 2nd 38 points and 3rd was The Don O’Brien 38pts.
The fourball winners were Andre Dietiker and Stewart McDonald who had a massive 50 points, second was Donny O’Brien and Mick McCormack who retuned 47 points on a count back.
Nearest to the pin winners were, Barry Penny on the John Wright Pro shop 3rd at 152cm, the Peter Campbell Physio 9th was Alex Podbereski with 370cm, the SeaFire Steak and Seafood 10th was Andre Dietiker at 126cm, the SeaFire 12th was Dave Cruden at 95cm, the Bene Scene 17th went to Greg Starr at 335cm and the 2nd shot 17th was Terry Bull at 123cm.
Balls for the day went to 36 with 18 on the back.

The weekly 9 hole competition was won this week by Richard Beresford.
Sundays Surf Club Charity golf day saw around 70 players enjoy the course and sun with the winners returning a score of 25 ¼ on a count back, this was the McIntosh team who edged out the team of Schofield, Moran, Stephenson and Green.
