Yamba Day VIEW’s new executive

Yamba Day VIEW Club held their annual AGM and zone councillor, Elizabeth Birch presided over the induction of the new executive as follows: president – Lyn; secretary – Dianne; assistant secretary – Danni; treasurer – Diane; assistant treasurer – Evelyn; delegate – Joy; program officers – Des and Iris; club hostess – Jan.

Only vacant positions are vice president and publicity.

It was a fun day with lots of laughs at a couple of joke tellers and the Club had three new members join to start off the New Year.

Des announced as her first official duty, that there would be a morning tea at Dunes Cafe in Yamba Fair Shopping Centre at 10am and guest speaker for March is a representative from Cranes (which promotes freedom of choice for individuals and communities).

All final details were explained for International Women’s Day which is conducted by the four VIEW clubs of the Clarence Valley; Grafton, Maclean, Yamba Day and Yamba Evening.

International Women’s Day will be held at Bowlo Sports & Leisure Yamba, March 8 commencing 9am with morning tea, lunch, entertainment and guest speakers…a day not to be missed.

The funds raised are used by these clubs for the sponsorship of about 16 ‘Learning for Life’ students of which our Club has five.

Anyone new to town, if you are wanting to join a Club to meet new people, Yamba Day VIEW hold a luncheon on the 3rd Monday of the month at Bowlo Sports & Leisure Yamba commencing 10 for 10.30am.

Bookings/apologies call Lyn on 6646 3164 the Friday prior to the luncheon.
