The Yamba Bowling Club Euchre Tournament on Monday December 7, saw a tie for first place between Shirley Pilley , Marie Boots and Graeme Routson with 10 games each. Eileen Donaldson won the lone hand prize which was donated by Lila Harris. Graeme Routson won the lucky door prize and he also won Monday’s November Monthly with 39 games. Thursday December 10, saw Graeme still in the winner’s circle. Graeme and Shirley Pilley tied with 10 games each. They were the winners of the evening. Both Shirley and Graeme took out the weekly double. Looks like a handicap coming up for Graeme. The lone hand was won by Ray Grills. A warm welcome back to Percy Wood, and welcome to Ray Grills who is a new resident to Yamba. The Christmas raffle drawn on December 10, was won by Clare Routson. Special thanks to the Iluka Euchre Club for the hospitality extended to the car load of Yamba players who turned up on their door step last Wednesday evening. The feast offered in the guise of “nibbles” was greatly appreciated. Our sincere thanks to the ”Independent” for their ongoing support in getting our news in the paper every week.
