Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Grafton Volunteer Support Group

The Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Grafton Support is having a very busy month with several fundraising activities. It recently held its fourth annual Barefoot Bowls Day at the Grafton District Services Club. Twenty-two teams had a very enjoyable morning of bowls, which finished with a sausage sizzle and $2200 was raised. Winners of the major raffle were: 1st prize Weber Q BBQ – K Mills; 2nd prize car detailing from Terry Moulds Smash Repairs – H Morison; 3rd prize Engel car fridge – J Leonard. We would like to thank the following businesses who supported us on the day by donating food and prizes: Grafton District Services Club, Grafton District Services Club Butchery, Terry Mould Smash Repairs, Cansdell Signs, The Solar Shop, Elders Real Estate, Roches Family Hotel, Black Toyota, Clarence Coast Motors, Ken Casson Motors, Cetnaj, U-Design Clothing, Grafton Commonwealth Bank, Bunnings Hardware, Westlawn Business Services, Ada and Flynn Pharmacy, Grafton Fast Photos, ANZ Bank, Clarence Valley Independent, Daily Examiner and Clarence River Jockey Club. The volunteer support group also held a ‘bucket run’ down Prince Street during the truck parade on the long weekend. We’d like to say a big thank you to the Grafton community who donated so generously. Next Sunday, June 26, we will be holding a fundraising barbecue at Bunnings. Come along, say hello and enjoy one of our delicious sausage sandwiches.
