Wanted – items for Lawrence Museum Garage Sale

Are you de-cluttering or cleaning up. You may have some saleable items that can be donated to the Lawrence Museum. From salt & pepper shakers, to shovels & spades, from books, board games to bikes, from CD’s to clothing, the museum welcomes any saleable items. Any household, garden or sports & fitness items can be donated. The Lawrence Museum annual bumper Garage Sale will be held Saturday, April 2, in the museum gardens, weather permitting. People can donate goods during museum opening hours, Tuesday 9am – 1pm, and Saturday & Sunday 1pm – 4pm. The Garage Sale is an important fundraiser for the museum. In January this year the museum launched a project to build a new shed this year. Robert Forbes, the president of the Lawrence Historical Society explained, “The museum now needs more space to be able to preserve, maintain and display the exhibits for present and future generations to appreciate. If the museum cannot take some of the local historical outdoor farming & fishing implements, they will no doubt be consigned to the rubbish tip.” The annual Garage Sale attracts buyers from all over the Clarence Valley, and everyone can be sure of finding a bargain. The Lawrence Museum is open Tuesdays from 9am to 1pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm to 4pm.
