Evening Branch meeting will be held on Thursday July 9 at 7pm in CWA Rooms Grafton. We will be making arrangements for our International Night to be held in August when we will focus on culture and food from Italy. I’m sure we can cook up a lovely meal with an Italian flavour for members and guests. At our June meeting Gai, our Agriculture/Environment officer, gave us some very interesting information on beetroot, our product of study this year. It is amazing the different colours of beetroot and what dishes they can be used in. Two of our members joined Grafton CWA for their International Day last week and enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea with Italian theme. Some of our members will attend the Group International Day being held in September at Woolgoolga. Applications are still open for the South Grafton Nursing Grant and will close on August 28. This Grant is for $1000 to assist with course expenses for person currently undertaking a Nursing University course (or refresher). Details can be obtained from CWA Group President Trish Stabback at Woolgoolga Branch or any local CWA branch executives. New members and visitors are always welcome to join us at our meetings.
