Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions starting next week on the Gwydir Highway for road improvements to be carried out at Nogulga Creek, west of Jackadgery Bridge.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane with alternate flow in the area of work from Monday 6 April, weather permitting, and motorists are advised to allow extra travel time.

The work will be carried out between 7am and 6pm on weekdays and from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays for up to two weeks.

The work will involve widening the road shoulder and making improvements to drainage, kerbs and the road surface.

Traffic control will be in place for the safety of workers and road users, and the speed limit will be reduced.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
