Pride of workmanship awards 2016 Presented by the Rotary Club of Yamba

These awards were presented to persons who were involved in serving the public here in Yamba. These people were nominated as ones who had shown courtesy and assistance in carrying out their professional or volunteer position in Yamba. The following people were nominated and present with the awards Dr Karen Teasdale, Angourie Road, Vet Surgery for her professionalism, amazing atmosphere where nothing was too difficult to meet the needs of her clients needs. Megan Smith works at the Yamba Shores Tavern. Megan has proved to be a most conscientious, hard working person. Nothing is too much trouble and takes everything in her stride. James Ryan is the patrol and RBI Captain at the Yamba Surf Club. Even though, there are many wonderful volunteers at the Yamba Surf Club, James is a leader in teaching and performing rescue and resuscitation in the surf as well as being a director of Lifesaving. Andrew Moloney, Exercise Physiologist was nominated for his outstanding service to people with a physical ailment caused through health or injuries. Tim Ryan is President, committee member and referee. He was nominated for his twenty year involvement in encouraging kids in sport in Yamba and Maclean. His Motto is “Kids in sport are Kids out of court”. Tim was a leader in getting the Raymond Laurie Sports Complex, Yamba netball courts, Dog club facilities in Yamba, soccer, and Rugby. These awards were presented at the yamba Bowls Club on Tuesday the 19 April with a huge crowd of family, friends, rotary members and their partners. Well deserved participants.
