On April 20, Maclean Lions along with their Grafton Lions colleagues, held an entertaining meeting with MP for the Maclean area, Mr Kevin Hogan and his wife Karen. Since the reorganising of the electorate numbers in Australia, Maclean has moved back into the Electorate of Page which puts us into the same electorate as our neighbours, Yamba and Grafton. Mr Hogan helped induct our new member Michael into the Maclean Lions Club. Mr Hogan entertained us with information regarding his early working career gaining a business degree and working in the finance industry specialising in superannuation, then his move to teaching when the family moved into the Lismore region. He was able to give us an interesting insight into the previous week in Canberra during the recall of the Senate. At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr Hogan presented both clubs with a brand new Australian flag to be used during club functions. Many thanks, Mr Hogan. Denise Worrill
