Preparations underway for Arts Festival

cvi   The Maclean Patchwork & Quilters have yet again produced a stunning quilt to be raffled as part of the Clarence River Arts Festival (formally the Lower Clarence Arts, Crafts & Quilts Exhibition). The quilt is presently displayed at Ferry Park Gallery, Maclean, where tickets are on sale at $2 each. It will also be taken to Yamba Fair and Grafton Shopping World in the coming weeks. This year sees a move from Gulmarrad School to the Maclean Showground. The LCACA have expanded the exhibition into a festival of Arts & Crafts, which they hope will become a big part of the winter calendar for the area. As well as the nine sections in the ‘exhibition’ there will be a craft market, a variety of hot & cold food vendors, coffee carts, buskers, children’s art workshops as well as other entertainment for the children. Demonstrations will take place through the Festival. This exciting event will take place over the weekend of July 8-10 so book it into your diaries, come along and make a day of it.
