Lynne Mowbray | Several students and residents from Palmers Island turned out at the Big4 Saltwater Holiday Park at Palmers Island early on Monday morning, to watch Channel 7’s ‘Sunrise’ weather presenter Sam ‘Mac’ McMillan broadcasting live from the holiday park. A group of resident kangaroo’s, including a rare white kangaroo, featured in one of the mornings live cross broadcasts. The ‘Sunrise’ crew’s overnight visit to the Palmers Island holiday park was the launch of their week long ‘Let’s Go Caravanning and Camping’ competition, which included the three competition winning families.
