Last Tuesday was a Stableford event played on the back nine of the Yamba Golf course. The course is in excellent condition which is a credit to the ground staff and volunteers who have worked so hard on the clean up after the mess recent storms had made. In A Grade in the winners circle again (even after the handicapper took 4 strokes of his h/cap after his last big win) was Gordon McHugh scoring 23 points off a 27 h/cap, well done Gordon (I can see another h/cap adjustment coming up). Second place in A Grade went to Terry Wilson with 20 points (on a count back with third place) from a 27 h/cap with third place going to Bruce Douglass with a score of 20 also from a 23 h/cap. B Grade winner was Richard Ardin with a score of 21 off a 44 h/cap, second was Chris Sharp with a score of 20 off a 38 h/cap with Ann Ardin taking out third with a score of 19 off a h/cap of 43. The NTP winners for the 12th hole were A Grade Kevin Moran winning the Yamba Barber Shop prize and B Grade on the 12th hole was Richard Ardin winning the Yamba Golf Pro Shop prize. On the 17th hole the NTP for A grade was Bruce Douglass winning the Sassafras prize, with Chris Sharp winning the B Grade Bean Scene prize. Thank you to all our wonderful sponsors. There were two match play games played last Tuesday between Chris Sharp v Dr John Lockwood and Ann Ardin v Gary Taylor. Congratulations to the victors who were Chris 2 up over the good Dr John and Gary who won one up over the Kiwi connection Ann Ardin.
