The Yamba senior golfers held a Single Stableford event on Monday, August 22 with a field of 44 players including visitors from Mooroopna, Bermagui, Box Hill and Maclean golf clubs. High scores were the order of the day with Bruce Zietsch winning the men’s comp with 42 points. The r/up was Ken Hall on 40. The ball rundown went to 34 points and included Des Hall, Ray Scovell, Bruce Morris, Keith Cromack, Bruce Blanch, Peter Ross, Alex Podbereski, John Daley and Peter Stoward. NTPs: 3rd – Alex Podbereski; 12th – Barry Latham. The ladies winner, also with a high score was Maiva Burnham on 40 points. The r/up was Lee Daley on 34. The ball rundown went to 31 points and included Janine Zietsch, Marie Leonard, Isabel Ayscough, Robyn Causley, Barb Wood and Toni Elliott.
