A rather chilly and damp start to the day last week did not deter our players and they were justified in their confidence as the weather improved and the course was in great condition for our 2-person Ambrose event.
Our handicapper had a day off, so decided to perform to the max as he could not be penalised and Denis Kelly carried Peter Jarman to a win with a nett 26.5. Denis was so dominant that Peter had to make his third tee shot count on the ninth hole. In second place were Steve Dorrell and Terry Wilson with 27.5, followed closely by Keith Britton and George Key on 28.
NTPs went to Denis Kelly and Peter Jarman on the 10th, while Bruce Douglass and Kevin Moran won both the 12th and the 17th.
With the ability to share carts again in July, we are expecting a greater number of starters from now on.
