NZ national anthem to be played at local ANZAC ceremony

Our May meeting was attended by 37 members with seven apologies and one visitor.

The meeting was informed that the documentation for the sale of the building was forwarded to State and will be assessed at their June board meeting.

A motion was put to the meeting to include the New Zealand national anthem during our ANZAC Day service at the Cenotaph.  Following a spirited discussion the motion was carried and the choir will be approached to see if they can include it in their repertoire next year.  This will require them to learn the words in Maori.

Members were also reminded about the RSL Code of Conduct when commenting on social media. Peter Leslie informed the meeting that he and his wife Lynda carried out an ANZAC Day service on the Nile River whilst in Eqypt.
