Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is inviting the community to walk over the new Harwood Bridge before it opens to traffic.
The ‘Bridge over Clarence River at Harwood Community Day’ is being held on Sunday November 17 between 9am and noon, with a ceremony to mark the occasion at 11am.
Access to the event will be via free buses at three park and ride locations:
• Wherrett Park, corner of Central Avenue and Dunoon Crescent, Maclean;
• Mororo construction site compound, off Lewis Lane, Mororo (Gate 95.1); and,
• Raymond Laurie Sports Centre, 78 Angourie Road, Yamba.
Buses will depart from the park and ride locations at regular intervals.
Private vehicles will not be able to access the community day.
People are asked to register for the event, “to help us plan for the day”, at the project website: pacifichighway.nsw.gov.au.
