No Grafton CWA meeting this month

It is looking as though Grafton Branch, due to the COVID-19 restrictions, will not be able to hold their June 2020 meeting, but we can hope for a Branch meeting in July. Fingers crossed.

Jo Edgar, President of CWA North Coast Group, sent an email re the State Executive April meeting which took place via ZOOM at which 38 members took part.

Due to the CWA State AGM cancellation, postal voting for State AGM motions for 2020 were held. Grafton Branch delegates, Carol and Lesley took part in the postal voting.

Email from CWA of NSW, CEO Danika Leys read: I can confirm that the vote counting took place today at CWA House, Mascot, under my supervision. I confirm the integrity of the voting process and verify that the voting, counting of ballot papers and result to be announced is correct.

Country of Study for 2020-2021 is Republic of Ecuador. Barbara, our Branch international officer has started to gather information on this country. Looking forward to learning about Ecuador.

State Office has been conducting webinars for CWA members, who have access to a computer. ‘Publicity Tips and Tricks’ and ‘CWA of NSW Finance Webinar’ are a couple on offer.

ACWW – A circular was received from ACWW calling for resolutions and recommendations for the 30th Triennial World Conference to be held 18 – 24th May 2022 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The North Coast Group Council meeting on June 17, has been cancelled.

‘Land Cookery’ – No hard copy schedules are being printed this year. The entire schedule is printed in the April 2020 journal. The schedules can also be accessed on the CWA of NSW website. Narelle, our Branch Land Cookery officer, will update the cooking for our Branch meetings.
