Friday’s cooler weather presented more pleasant playing conditions than those experienced on Wednesday.

NTP (2 balls) winners were: Janine Zietsch – Ladies’ 3rd and Suzanne Scott – Ladies’ 17th (2nd). The NTP ($10 SeaFire Voucher) was won by Joan Berry – Ladies 12th. Neither of the Men’s NTP were won. Balls to 32pts (excluding Division winners): Mary Hogan, Jo Foley, Leigh Robertson, Janine Zietsch, Lisa Marsh, Anne-Marie James (Keparra), Fiona Smart, Kathy Parker, Joan Berry and Penny Cope.

It was a steamy Saturday morning for the 11 ladies who played the Single Stableford event, and the mosquitos were en masse after the previous night’s rainfall.

The conditions didn’t deter Mary Hogan who has been playing consistently well and she scored a very impressive 41pts to win. The runner up was newcomer to golf, Jo Rice, who played very well, scoring 34pts. It has been lovely to see Jo and Prue McLaughlin, both 9 holers in 2023, join us on Saturday mornings this year. Gillian Holst won the NTP on the 12th which is kindly sponsored by the SeaFire Restaurant.

Notes

As one of our major fundraisers for 2024, ladies are reminded that entries are being encouraged for the Maclean Hospital Charity Day to be held at Iluka Golf Course on Monday, February 26. Yamba Ladies Golf sponsors some of the prizes and the Iluka ladies always provide a delicious lunch and afternoon tea. Entries in this Single Stableford event cost $35 ($48 if a cart is required) and include lunch and a/tea. It is always a fabulous day so we look forward to a large contingent of our ladies supporting the 2024 event.
