Grafton Shoppingworld Junior Sportsperson of the Month for August: Ally Wills

Ally Wills is the Grafton Shoppingworld Junior Sportsperson of the Month for August.

Ally won the Small Show Pony Class on her pony Rocky Hill Prince Charming against more than 30 competitors from Australia and New Zealand at the 2023 Grand National Show Horse and Rider Championships which were held at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre in April, 2023.

The 10-year-old from Seelands has qualified for five classes at this year’s Grand Nationals with qualifying rides at various events throughout 2023 including Reserve Champion in Child’s Pony, Open Small Pony and Rider 9-12 years at the Queensland Rising Star and Child’s Show in June, Champion in Child’s Pony and Large Hunter Pony, 3rd in Child’s First Ridden Pony at the QLD Classic Hack Championships in July, and Reserve Champion Child’s Pony at Northern NSW Hack Championships in August.

Ally is a member of the Northern NSW Show Horse Association.

She will be one of seven girls vying for the prestigious title of Junior Female Sportsperson of the Year at the 2023 Clarence Valley Sports Awards at the Bowlo Sport & Leisure Yamba on Saturday, February 10.
