Congratulations to the members of Maclean Women’s Bowling Club who had great success in the recent Iluka Classic Triples. The outright winners were Marlene Crelley, Michelle Swan (Iluka), Fiona Butcher. In third place were Narelle Phelps, Lorraine Asbury, Evelyn Triffitt. The three teams who won their rounds were Lee Mckay, Wendy Haselum, Kerry Hudson; Sandra Keighran, Merle Ryan, Margaret Stallard; Joyce Cotten, Carolyn Byrum, Val Daniels. Next Sunday August 9 there will be a visit by Veteran Mixed Bowlers. The cost is $8, mufti dress and players should arrive by 9am for a 9.30am start. A visitor, Vicki Beddow from Brooms Head, was welcomed on Tuesday July 28 when L J Hooker sponsored games were played. The winners were the team with the highest score and they were M Tomek, M Anstiss, C Power with a score of 28 who defeated J Hamilton, J Hayward, V Daniels.
