MACLEAN WOMENS BOWLING CLUB

On Monday March 02  we held our annual Major Minor Fours Carnival, and we thank Ritchies IGA Maclean who sponsored our whole Carnival.

While the day started out quite pleasantly, it slowly deteriorated as the day wore on and lots of water and ice was used to get us through the afternoon.

The winners on the day were  Wendy Ballantyne’s team from Yamba, with Sandra Ferro’s team from Maclean coming in second and  Candy Nixon’s team from South Grafton coming in at Third.  Our Round one winners were Denise Burey’s team from Maclean with thesecond round winners being  Kerrie Pedder’s team from Yamba.  Congratulations to all our winners.  A big thank you goes out to all the players who entered this carnival, as with out you, we wouldn’t have a Carnival.

Tuesday March 03 saw a small contingent out to play social bowls on a much more pleasant day.  We had a game of triples and a game of pairs with everyone thoroughly enjoying their games.  The winners of the free game of bowls were

C Byrum, S Grieve and L Connor.  Our Ray White Scroungers on Thursday were cancelled due to rain.

Our Club Championship Singles start this coming Saturday, March 14.  I wish those ladies playing good bowling.
