‘Super Siblings’ swim into State

Gulmarrad students and siblings Jett and Chase Burke are heading to Sydney to compete at the PSSA Primary Swimming Championships in April following stellar performances at the school, zone and regional carnivals.

At the North Coast Carnival on Wednesday March 4, Jett left his competitors in his wake, placing first in the 50 freestyle, 50 butterfly, 50 backstroke and 100 freestyle.

All this hard work paid off when he was crowned the Regional, Zone and Gulmarrad School Senior Boys Champion and the Most Outstanding Boy Swimmer (Regional).

Not to be outdone Chase is set to keep the Burke name firmly in the record books after placing second in the 50 butterfly and being crowned the Gulmarrad School Junior Boys Champion.

While the boys are versatile swimmers competing in all strokes and distances they both agree that butterfly is their favourite.

Good luck to the boys in April.
