A small field of 21 players contested a 4 ball multiplier last Monday due to our group of travelling vets playing in an open day in Mullumbimby. The winners with 67 points were Brian Williams and Mark Andrew, runners up were Phil Robinson and John Parkes with 63, club ball went to 51. NTP’s were: 2 hole – not claimed, 7 hole – Theo Sheppard, Marlene Roberts, 11 hole – Graeme Lloyd, 17 hole – Dennis Myers. The weather was beautiful but our own Marlene Roberts (who is just returning from a bad wrist injury), was heard telling her playing partners that her golf was off so she hoped she would win the raffle. We are pleased to report that Marlene did indeed win the raffle and was last seen leaving the club with a smile on her face and her prize, a bottle of white wine under her arm. Well done Marlene! Our next game will be on Monday 3 August which will be a Stableford competition. All members and visitors are very welcome to play. Be at the clubhouse for registration at 8am with a draw of the cards at 8.15am and a shotgun start at 8.30. The course is in fantastic condition so come out and have a game with us at Maclean.
