Our girls have done it again! Congratulations to those who attended the WGNR Tournament held at Casino last week where the 36-hole gross in Div 2 was won by Judy Parkes with Pauline Ryan runner up; 36-hole gross in Div 3 was won by Kim Moore; Chris Forrester was 36-hole gross runner up in Div 1 and Helen McFarlane 36-hole nett winner in that Division; Lexie Simmons was the 36 Stableford winner in Div 4; the Maclean team of Judy Parkes, Chris Forrester, Helen McFarlane and Cathy Ayres took out the 36-hole nett teams event; and Cathy Ayres won a prize in the tournament raffle. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, last Wednesday, July 22 saw a very much depleted field (cold cloudy weather and the bulk of our ladies playing at Casino) play a single Stableford event. Sandra Youlten was declared the winner from Joy Studdon. Today’s ladies competition at Maclean is a 2bbb which is the qualifying round for our annual 2b knockout competition with eight pairs to qualify for match play rounds to be completed over the coming weeks. The day’s event will be sponsored by Cathie Parker and Sandra Youlten. Next week (August 5) the game is an 18-hole stroke being the 6th and final Golf NSW Medal round of the year and will be sponsored by Making Waves Hair Salon in Maclean and our thanks go to Nancy Brown for her continuing support.
