Squash – Last week we had a lot of five set matches, it was hard to choose the best. Ray Hoad d Roy Ellery in a marathon match. Roy coming out strong to win the first two sets, Ray made a great come to win the next three 15-13, although Roy won on points (62-66); Daniel Butt d Paul Tarasanko 15-13, although Paul won on a big margin in points (66-58); Jake Bennett d John Auckram 15-12 & just winning on points (71-70); Andrew Tom d Sebestain Fear 15-12; Nick Greenland d Dean Small 15-12; Toby Gray d Gordon Hogue 15-10.
Cricket – Last week we had the best game of the competition so far. Baby’s Arms d GIO Gent’s 123-122, with Jeremy Walters hitting the winning runs in the final ball of the over to secure the win; Lawrence d Brushgrove 96-90 in the final over of the match; Yamba d Maclean Motors 132-107.
Volleyball – Junior Magpies d Maclean Motors 2-1; Keepers d Blooms 3-0; Jetsters d Mixed Up 3-0.
Futsal
Juniors – Once more we had 40 juniors turning up last week. If there is anyone interested in playing you should come along at 3.45pm & we will put you into a team.
Seniors –The Vipers d The Legos 8-7. Vipers captain Joel Power scoring some great goals; Wildcats d Goal Diggers 11-8, youngest Alyssa Castle scoring a couple of great goals for Wildcats & Erika King was the Goal Diggers best; Jungle Juice d Coops 8-2.
Netball – Fired Up d The Legos 28-15. Fired Up Brooke McDonald was on target all night, with some great defence by Naomi Shannon & The Legos husband and wife Doug and Bec McKenzie where their best; Bottoms Up d Who Cares 29-13.
