Squash – Last week we had a lot of five set matches. Match of the week was between Adrian Pryoy & Jim Croft. Jim coming out strong to win the first two sets Adrian made a great come back to win the next three 15-13; Sam Cashman def John Auckram 15-13; Kerry Bennett def Jim Bricknell 15-10, although losing on points (65-60); Chris Shannon def Damien Rutoski 15-10 & Damien having a catch up game the day before to def Tony Berger 15-10; Rob Hodson def Toby Gray 15-9; Tony McFarlane def Michael Davidson 15-8 & John Doust in his first comp game back after a few months of def Brendan Watkins 15-7. Cricket – New cricket competitions are starting soon, every Monday night. A great social game consisting of eight players per team. Fun for all ages with every player having a chance to bat & bowl. New players & teams are always welcome to come along & join in. For further information, contact the Centre. Volleyball – Tuesday night we will be having our first game of volleyball for the year. A fantastic sport involving every participant. All you need is six players per team with unlimited substitutes, two female players to be on the court at all times. Volleyball is a very social & fun game. If there is anyone interested in playing or nominating a team, contact the centre or come along on Tuesday night at 6pm. Futsal Juniors – Great numbers showing up every week goes to show this is a favourite sport with all the Juniors. If there is any Juniors interested in playing, there are two ages divisions. Under 7’s, 3.45-4.30 & seniors (7-13). 4.30-5.30, come along at 4.15, so we can sort out teams as numbers are increasing each week.
