Maclean Pair win District Play Off
Congratulations to Chris Forrester and Shirley Passlow who, having won the WGNR District Play Off held at Maclean on Friday, September 25, will now join the State finalists at Bonville for the Golf NSW 4bbb Vs Par Ladies Classic. This also means that Maclean will have contestants in the State finals for all three 4b championships, the men’s, the mixed and the ladies. A great effort for a small Club.
On Wednesday, September 30, Maclean ladies played a single stableford for trophies donated by the Maclean Post Office. In Div 1 Cathy Ayres was the winner from Diane Moore and Chris Forrester took the NTP. Div 2 winner was Sandra Youlten from Kate Hemmy who also took the NTP in that Division. The overall NTP on the 7th (sponsored by Playmore Golf at Yamba) was won by Molly Plunkett and on the 11th (sponsored by Hamilton, Simmons & Co) – Tina Hogg. Club balls were handed to Chris Forrester, Helen Graney, Jill Schipp, Gai Greenwood, Nancy Commerford and Val George had the Best nine holes in Div 2.
Today at Maclean the ladies are holding their annual “Chip in for Cancer” “Pink Day”, an 18-hole vs par sponsored by Ros Jacobs.
Ladies it is that time of year again. Our AGM is fast approaching and will be held on Wednesday, October 28, after the game. All committee positions are vacant and nominations are now being received by the Secretary. This is your chance to become a member of our Committee and have direct input on to how your Club is run and, as you know, new blood is always good bringing new ideas.
