Maclean Minor Singles winner

Congratulations to Kerry Hudson who last week won the Minor Singles Competition at Maclean Women’s Bowling Club when she defeated Margaret Stallard in the final. The next L J Hooker game takes place on Tuesday September 15. Entries close at noon on Sunday September 13. Club uniform is the required dress. All women bowlers are eligible to enter and there are cash prizes as well as vouchers. The Consistency Singles Competition starts on Tuesday September 22 and entries close on Monday September 14. All members are urged to take part to make it really competitive. The District Gala Day will be held at Iluka on Thursday October 1 and entries close on Thursday September 24. The cost is $20. A mixed group of bowlers from Woodburn will be visiting Maclean on Thursday September 24 for a game starting at 9.30am. The cost is $10 which includes a sit-down barbecue and salad lunch and dress is mufti. Members who are going to Tewantin in November must pay the cost ($73) to the secretary by the end of September. Please place the money in an envelope with your name and Tewantin on the outside.
