Last Thursday saw an influx of visitors from near & far to contest a single Stableford event on a perfect winters day. The top score on the day went to Leigh Barrington with a well compiled 39 Stableford points, three clear of r/up Luke Many. NTPs went to Mike Emanuel on the second, Peter Hamilton on the seventh, Glenn Brown on the eleventh & Geoff Dickinson on the seventeenth. Club balls went to 33 points. Visitors came from Yamba, Iluka, Beaconhills, Whittlesea, Bermagui, Cairns, South West Rocks & Grafton. Saturdays monthly medal was sponsored by the Maclean Hotel & was the qualifying round for the Handicap Matchplay Championship. The A Grade medal & mug was won by Scott McNeilly with a nett 71 to win by one shot from Mark Andrew. The best score on the day was a very impressive nett 69 compiled by one of our Saturday Ladies Kym Eckersley. The B Grade medal went to Ron Thorne. NTPs were won by Stephen Burton on 2, Dave Smith on 7, Andrew Cowling on 11, Paul Bamback on 17 & Mark Andrew won the thistle hole. Club balls went to 78 nett. The TGIF 9 hole event was won by Mike Rogers, this event played after 1pm on Friday is a great way to improve your short game & costs just $5 to play, so why not come & join in the fun.
