Wednesdays 9 hole skins event was rained out last week but you can be sure all the regulars will be back next week for a 1.30 tee off. Thursdays Single Stableford saw Richard Parker return to winning form with a score of 42 points. John Porter edged out Noel Butcher on a countback to take the r/up with 41pts. NTPs went to Tom Johnson on the 2nd, Bob Harvey showed his accuracy to take the 7th and 17th and Glenn Brown the 11th. Pro balls went down to 35 on a countback. Visitors came from Kew, Terrigal and Yamba. The Cowling brothers, Neville and Noel enjoyed the day with Noel beating Nifty for the ticket. It was good to see Jason Sheehan back out enjoying the course though it took him a while to warm up. Steve Smith thought his shot was a bit long on the 11th but it didn’t faze him as he chipped in for a birdie. Saturdays Monthly Medal and Mug was sponsored by Speed Jones of Walters Butchery. The A-Grade Medal and Mug was taken out by Andrew Cowling with a terrific nett 64. Geoff Greenwood also had a fine round carding a nett 67. Mark Williams was the B Grade Medal winner on a countback from Ron Hubbard, both on 73 nett. NTPs went to Sally Weeks on the 2nd, Douglas Hudson the 7th, Greg Doolan the 11th and Gavin Butler the 17th. The Thistle Hole was won by Mark Rae. Club balls went to nett 77. Visitors came from Grafton, Woolgoolga, Yamba, Terrigal and Uralla. The ladies winner for the day was Christina Picton with a nett 75. Sundays mixed 4BBB attracted a field of 36 players and proved to be a successful and enjoyable day. Terry and Gill Adcock were too strong with a fantastic 47 points to be winners from r/up Andrew and Esme Cowling on 46 points. Pro balls ran down to 39 points. The ladies NTP on the 2nd went to Di Moore and Andrew Cowling took out the 17th. Qualifiers will contend the District Final at Ocean Shores on Sunday, July 10.
