Another matchplay result from the 18 holers was Wayne Rush over Denis Hardwick 1 up after being 6 down at the turn – great comeback Wayne! This leaves just the two final matches which we hope will be completed this week. Following discussion at our AGM on Sunday it has been decided that this year’s Christmas party will be held on Sunday 6th December following 9 holes of golf. The Wednesday Chook Run was won by Herb Wilson with nett 26 and the r/up Doc Foster on nett 28. Nearest the pin on the 4th went begging and on the 5th was won by Vic Durie. Least putts was taken out by Brein Bancroft with 15. Saturday’s ladies 9 hole competition was won by Sally Weeks with nett 43 and the r/up Nancy Commerford with nett 44. NTP was won by Joy Studdon and least putts was taken out by Bev Hardwick with 15 on a c/b from Kerry Cook. Sunday, 18th October was a Stableford event sponsored by Bendigo Bank of Sth Grafton. The 9 hole winner with 16pts was Col Anderson on a c/b from Harry Austen. The 18 hole winner with 41pts was James Welsh and the r/up Shane Rose with 39pts. The O’Halloran Motors, John Deere Lawn Care sponsored nearest the pin on the 4th went to Judy Want for the ladies and Anthony Nagle for the men and on the 5th to Tony Chester. The Maclean Motors sponsored least putts was won by Denis Hardwick with 13 in a 3-way c/b. Club Balls went to Wayne Rush, Max Withnell, Aaron Patterson and Theo Sheppard. The Money Tree was won by Tony Berry. Next Sunday 25th October is our annual Medal of Medals Championship as well as Monthly Medal No 1 Stroke event for 2015-2016 sponsored by Ray White Real Estate of Maclean.
