Our Wednesday Chook Run was won by Barry Wheeler with nett 20 and the r/up Brien Bancroft with nett 30. Nearest the pin on the 4th went to Shirley Williams and on the 5th to Vic Durie. Least putts was taken out by Ross Lamond. We then proceeded to the Maclean Services Club for our Chook Run Christmas Lunch and would like to thank them for great food and excellent service.
Saturday’s Ladies 9 hole competition was sponsored by Marg Ridley and won by Lynne Dickens with nett 46 and the r/up with nett 47 Gai Greenwood. Nearest the pin on the 4th was Judy Want and on the 5th Edna Jackson. Least putts with 16 went to Kerry Cook and balls went to Lynne Fisher and Bev Hardwick. The ladies would like to thank Marg Ridley for a fun day.
Sunday, 29th November was our Monthly Medal No. 2 sponsored by AB Accounting of Maclean. The 9 hole and medal winner with nett 44 was Ray Daniels on a c/b from Doc Foster. The 18 hole and medal winner with nett 66 was Peter Smajstr and the r/up Theo Sheppard with net 69. The O’Halloran Motors, John Deere Lawn Care sponsored nearest the pin on the 4th went to Peter Smajstr and on the 5th to Col Want. The Maclean Motors sponsored least putts with 13 was taken out by Anthony Nagle. Club Balls went to Denis Hardwick, Shane Rose and Pat Parkes. The Money Tree was won by Mark Austen.
Next Sunday, December 6 is a 9 hole Stableford Multiplier event (draw for partners) sponsored by Col and Judy Want. The starters are Denis Hardwick and Col Want. See you all there at 7.30am.
This will be followed by the Club Christmas Party and presentation of trophies and we look forward to a great day.
