I would like to just go back a week to our trip to Iluka. We had 28 players hit the fairways and a great day was had by all. The winning score of the day was a fine 38 points by Rod Jackson closely followed by another 3 players with 36 points. On behalf of the Westlawn members I would like to thank the Iluka members for allowing us the use of their carts for the day and also the management of the club for not only being great hosts but also donating a couple of trophies to our day. What a great club you have and I know our members are already looking forward to next year. A thunderstorm and rain ruined any chance of the play off for the Gold Trophy for the monthly medal winners on Sunday. With such an important game the Match Committee has decided to transfer the game to Sunday December 13 which will be our last official game for 2015. A question has been raised in regard to the rakes in our sand traps, I would like to remind members that after you have used the rake, it should be placed at the bottom of the bunker facing in the direction of play. This will be a local rule of play from now on. Next Sunday will be a 4BBB Stableford event for our Christmas event. The starting and results will be handled by the Committee. Lunch and Presentations will be at the GDSC after the game starting at around 12 noon. The cost of the day will be $20. Sunday December 13 will be a Stroke event for the Monthly Medal winners to compete for the Gold Trophy in conjunction with a single stroke event. Starters will be G Jackson and W Burns with K Rogan and J Armstrong to handle the results. Dave Lynch
