The Lawrence Fishing Club is having a sign on day to be held at The Lawrence Tavern on Sunday February 7 commencing at 12.30pm in conjunction with our normal outing day and weigh in. This is open to existing members to renew their membership and to welcome anyone that is interested in becoming a new member of the Fishing Club, not all our members fish, some are members who participate in the social aspect of the club. The Club and The Lawrence Tavern will provide a sausage sizzle and some refreshments to those that join and participate on the day. The Tavern will also be having a band. Every month the Fishing Club has an estuary, deep sea, rock & beach, spear fishing competition outing with the weigh-in and BBQ at The Lawrence Tavern on the 1st Sunday of each month. The Club also has camping trips, barbecues in the park for the members throughout the year. There is an annual presentation & Christmas party for members at the end of November each year. Membership is $15 for single, $25 for family or couple, $2 for juniors not in family membership. The Club also does a weekly raffle at the Lawrence Tavern and some of the proceeds are donated to Westpac Helicopter each year.
