Thank you to all those who supported this annual fundraiser. Last weekend the Under 23 boat crew went to Sydney to compete in the big Manly carnival against the best crews in Australia. In the preliminary rounds they finished second in 4 races and were 7th in the round robin point score just missing out on the 6 boat final. Yamba SLSC meat raffles are on every Saturday evening at the Yamba Golf and Country Club. This Saturday Jan & John Snelling, Alan Schofield and Warwick Mawhinney will be selling tickets from 5.30pm with the draw starting at 6.30pm. With 33 fantastic meat trays to be won, go along and try your luck! It was a lovely morning at Whiting Beach for Yamba Nippers with all nippers being able to beat the heat in the water. They had so much fun on the boards that Dannielle has decided to have it at Whiting Beach again this Sunday. The kids did rotations between boards, swimming and rescues. A huge thanks to all of the parents and helpers who assisted with transporting equipment and boards to Whiting and to our Water Safety, Age Managers and the rest of the crew who continuously volunteer their time for our Nippers. A special mention and thanks to Josh Morris and Mia McAvoy for pitching in and helping. It’s lovely to see teenagers who were once little Nippers assisting with the program. Yamba Nippers will be at Whiting Beach this Sunday at 10am.
