One of the most popular events in the lead up to the annual Grafton Jacaranda Festival, the Jacaranda Ball will be held at 6pm on October 15 at the Grafton PCYC.

While persistent wet weather forced the diversion of the event from its spiritual home in Market Square to the Grafton PCYC last year, Jacaranda Festival Manager Mark Blackadder said the new venue proved to be so successful, they are hosting the highly anticipated festivity again in 2022. 

“Hosting the ball under the Jacaranda’s in Market Square was an amazing concept, but we have to take the ongoing possibility of wet weather into consideration when planning an event on this scale this year,” he said.

“The Grafton PCYC offers the space required to host the Clarence Valley’s most attended, formal event on the calendar so this venue will now become its new home.”

Wesley Mission has also been welcomed back as the ongoing major sponsor of the Grafton Jacaranda Festival, with the organisation playing a key role in several festival events including the crowning of the Royal Party, Jacaranda Fun Run, the Jacaranda Float Procession and the legendary Jacaranda Thursday activities.
