Ed, Please find an excerpt of a letter to one of our Scouts from the new Chief Commissioner for what he has done at this years Region Rally in Sydney earlier this month. He is one of a few from the North Coast Region that are on what we call the State Youth Council for Scouts. Sue ‘Akela’ Day, Grafton Scout Group Dear Blake I was delighted to meet you at the NSW Scout Rally on Sunday 7 August, and grateful that you, Molly, Angus and Samantha were able to show me the many exciting youth activities. Congratulations on being elected the Chair of the Scout Youth Council! You have every right to be proud of your achievements as a youth member. Attending the 2016 Scout Rally was a real highlight for me, as your new Chief Commissioner. I was especially pleased to talk with, and listen to, the members of the Scout Youth Council. Your views are just so important to ensure we deliver a Scout Program that our youth want, as well as one that enables our Scouts to gain skills and experience. Congratulations on the great things you are doing in Scouting. I look forward to helping all our youth members, just like yourself, to enjoy Scouting for years to come.
