Grants to make North Coast towns safer

Grants are now available for local businesses and non-profit groups which come up with projects to make local communities safer, according to Parliamentary Secretary for the North Coast and Clarence MP, Chris Gulaptis. “The NSW Government’s Community Safety Fund will back ideas that address crime hotspots, tackle anti-social behaviour problems, improve safe use of public spaces or generally prevent crime,” Mr Gulaptis said. “A total of $10 million is available from the Community Safety Fund and I want to ensure the Clarence and Richmond Valleys win at least our fair share from that pool.” For further information on the NSW Government’s Community Safety Fund and to apply please visit: www.crimeprevention.nsw.gov.au.
