Last Saturday, 14 shooters gathered at the 500yd mound to compete in a running mirage and a light breeze.
In target rifle Ian Griffiths hit his pinnacle, scoring a double Possible and taking home both the off rifle and handicap trophies for the day, only 1 point behind and also shooting a Possible in this division was the ever-consistent Peter Brown.
In F standard things had a bit of a shake up this week with the presence of Scott Murdoch on the range. Scott won the off-rifle trophy while Andrew Kattenhorn was happy to receive the handicap prize for the day.
Hunter class was very competitive as usual, with both Peter Brown and Matt Finney both shooting double Possibles. Peter scoring 6 more centres than Matt won the off-rifle trophy. Also shooting a Possible in Hunter class this week was Shane Budd. Ben Davidson was the recipient of the handicap trophy after breaking handicap with an aggregate score of 104.
Club members will be working hard this week in preparation for our much anticipated annual 2 Day Open Prize Shoot which will be held next weekend. We will look forward to reporting in the results next week.
