Earlier this month, Grafton Legacy proudly supported returned serviceman from the Navy Grant Roder, as he completed a 96km virtual Kokoda Walk throughout Grafton and South Grafton.

During the weeks leading up to this event on August 15, Grafton Legacy sold raffle tickets to raise funds to assist war widows and children whose loved ones have served our country.

The prize was a beautiful painting titled Poppies in the Field, which had been created by Mr Roder’s wife Em, who graciously donated the artwork to Grafton Legacy for the raffle.

Last week, Grafton resident Margaret Clarke was announced as the lucky winner.
