Flying Day well supported
Ed,
Just a quick note to let you know that the Australian Model Flying Day in support of the Royal Flying Doctor Service was an outstanding success for the Grafton Model Aircraft Club on Sunday, October 22.
This is largely due to the support given by the CV Independent covering the event for us.
As publicity officer, I talked with many of the spectators at the field and at least eighty percent had read about the day in the paper.
At the ShoppingWorld static display on Saturday, we handed out one hundred and twenty-seven fliers (out of the 130 that were printed) and spoke to many more who also indicated that they had read about us in your paper.
Some one hundred spectators came through the gate during the day and the training plane was in the air for most of the event.
This number of spectators is more than I have flown in front of at major metropolitan air shows.
It was a buzz to show off in front of that many people (lol).
Once again, thank you so very much for your support. It was very appreciated by the club.
Daryl Woolfe,
Grafton Model Aircraft Club
