Ed, The Greater Maclean Community Action Group invites everyone in our communities (and visitors) to our Big Picnic on Saturday – between 1pm and 4pm – under the historic camphor laurel trees in the riverside McLachlan Park. There’ll be the Lions BBQ, music, and a Treasure Hunt for the children. Please wear red or green, and come to celebrate our forefathers and mothers who over a century ago gave us these beautiful trees, and this park. This may well be your last chance to see this park as it is now; before Council sends in the bulldozers and chainsaws to remove all four trees, probably in October. Could there be a change of heart?
