Bethany Smith of Chatsworth Island Public School is presented Quota’s RAK Award by Suzanne Monin with principal Greg Spiers
Congratulations to Bethany Smith of Chatsworth Island Public School who is the latest recipient of Quota’s Random Act of Kindness Award. Bethany was nominated by the school staff and was presented with her certificate and book voucher at assembly this week. Kindness comes in many forms and Quota members appreciate the kindness of those who have made donations to the raffle held in conjunction with Quota’s Craft Fair to be held 26th and 27th September at Yamba Bowling Club auditorium. First prize, accommodation at Club Yamba Beach Holiday units, was donated by Yannick Martin. Second prize is a handmade patchwork quilt donated by Liz Imrie. There are 8 other prizes all donated by community members for which we say a big thank you! All funds raised in this raffle to be drawn on 27th will go to the “Help Bailey to Walk” fundraising- making a difference to this young man who will be having surgery early next year. Tickets are available from Quota members and at the Fair. Members have also committed Craft Fair funds to supporting Yamba Community Health Centre, in particular the purchase of equipment to be used by the paediatric nurses at the centre. Don’t forget to tell your visitors too and come along to the Craft Fair which will be opened from 9am on both days with a $2 entry fee. It is a great all weather event for all the family during the school holidays. Suzanne Monin
